Exxon breaks record for profit, yet again - Oct.... →
staceycoleman:
This sort of reminds me of this thing that this guy running for president was telling me last night. Something like “the big oil companies don’t need us to worry about them and give them tax breaks. They will look out for themselves.”
He might have had a point there. We’re all losing our retirements and they’re making their record profit. I’m thinking we should vote for that...

Oh, this would restore my desire to see the movie. Not that I don’t have faith in Don Coscarelli, but really, how could they do it without Bruce Campbell. Like this, apparently.
Awesome. Totally awesome!
Joaquin Phoenix quits acting!
I really like the guy, so I hope he’ll have a change of heart. Apparently music has been a major passion of his and since learning to play guitar, he’s decided to make that his primary focus.
And for that, I applaud him.

Observation.
Filmmaking.
I’ve been listening to other filmmakers lately. I’m mostly annoyed by them. Which often leads to me questioning myself and if I’m truly disirous of becoming a filmmaker. Well, let me first go back on one thing I said; these filmmakers are mostly students and people in the same boat as me. So, I can’t award them much merit.
So in that, I have some level of...

I decided to change the layout. To something simple. Thoughts?
I think with some minor tweaking, this will be one hot layout.
Beautiful footage shot with the new Canon EOS 5D MarkII. Which, for the rest of you, means…it’s a digital still camera…with video. HD video with 24p!! Not to mention 22MP and a full CMOS. Very nice.

Cross the Line Video Opener
My buddy Ben shot this for NewSpring Church this past weekend while he was in town visiting me. It was a lot of fun running around the city with a nice HD camera and DOF adapter.
I don’t see any of my footage; guess it didn’t make the cut. Oh well, I had fun anyway!
He did an excellent job!!

Wow… this is what spritualism is for you guys? I think you’re missing the point.
I’d also like to acknowledge that intelligent Christians do exist and they are capable of extracting more meaning from the Bible than “GOD WINS! USA!”
It’s nice to hear that not everyone thinks ALL Christians are unintelligent bumpkins. ...

Dear CNN,
Please hire Tucker Carlson. I miss him. MSNBC has completely sold their soul to liberalism and unjustifiably canned Tucker’s show. A show that was entertaining, fact-driven and, while the host was a self-proclaimed conservative, always seemed unbiased and more interested in finding truth.
With obnoxious, mean-spirited slanderers like Keith Olberman given free reign to rape...
Echoes of Koyaanisqatsi →
jbishop:
I first saw Koyaanisqatsi in a design class in college and was absolutely blown away. While many of the other students found it boring, I was amazed by the fact that I sat completely in awe of a film for 90 minutes, in which not a single plot element was introduced and not a single line of dialogue spoken. Koyaanisqatsi is one of the purest examples of film as an art form.
I was in...
