Winter...
My favorite thing about winter is the seasonal beer.
Winter lagers and Christmas Ales are so delicious! So full-bodied. Tasty. Rich.
Tonight’s brew: Samuel Adams Winter Lager. Such a full, real, rich beer. Go, buy and drink it now!
Black Friday reflection...
I worked my first “Black Friday” in retail ever today…
And…at a large, illustrious, computer retailer located in prime real estate on Central Park East; 5th Avenue.
I learned today more about this phenom than I ever have. Seeing with my own eyes the people in this city, reading about travesties in neighboring areas of the state (see Wal-Mart entry) and reflecting upon my...

So.
The little hoe bag broke up Marilyn Manson and Dita Von Teese. But now rumors are surfacing that she’s having a “thing” with her recent co-star, Mickey Rourke!
WHAT!?!?!
First off, I’m too old for her. But Rourke? He’s 31 years her elder. That’s disgusting. I’m sure HE is loving it, but seriously…that’s gross.
To put it in...

FINALLY!
1:41 - Is that Ron Killings?
Yes. I believe it is.
I haven’t seen this yet, but I am going to go ahead and say it: Oscars. This film is going to get some solid recognition for Rourke and Aronofsky. This is my most anticipated film. Not that Bond flick. This one. A solid, emotional, and rounded story about the...

One hell of a movie. See it.
Yup. I saw this last night and it was intense. Kind of a downer. Totally “out there”. But exceptionally well-constructed, even if redundant at times. Great film.

Me: Hi.
Linux: Hello.
Me: How've you been?
Linux: You mean in the last four years since you even acknowledged me? I've been great. Honestly. I've changed a lot.
Me: Me too.
Linux: Were you...I can't even say it. Were you with-
Me: YES! I know, I know. It was all a matter of convenience. I swear. That's behind me now.
Linux: Well, you could at least compliment me or something. I mean, throw me a freaking bone here. You ditch me and then crash back into my life four years later like nothing ever changed-
Me: You've only grown more beautiful and user-friendly with age. Your installation was a breeze and you've made wireless networking light years easier and more stable. And, you're virus-free.
Linux: Flattery will get you everywhere!

Film Racing | Delicate Balance
Check out this great short flick my pal Jordan acted in. It is part of the Brooklyn Film Racing series; a 24 hour film contest. The film was written, shot, and edited in 24 hours. And, I kid you not, it’s awesome!
Feel free to take the time to vote for this film on their website. It’s currently a top contender!
For the record...
Local commercials in the NYC Metro area suck just as bad as the ones back home.
I just watched a furniture commercial with a cheesy 3D render of a cartoony baseball player hopping around “catching the better deal.”
Ridiculous!

Speaking of Grindhouse...
I bought Death Proof on DVD today from Electronics Outlet for $2.99. I’m actually watching it now as a means to round out my Sabbath. Doing so, and thinking about going back to purchase Planet Terror, got me to thinking about these films and their theatrical and DVD releases.
Upon seeing the films, together, back-to-back, in theaters, in their shorter formats, I liked Tarantino’s...
