I would rather a dog chew my eyeballs out of my head while listening to Yanni than EVER see this video again…or hear his voice for that matter.

Sleeping man beheaded on Greyhound bus.  →
lfarm: WINNIPEG, Manitoba - A passenger sleeping on a Greyhound bus was killed and decapitated by his seatmate on Wednesday night as the vehicle rolled across the Canadian prairies, witnesses said. “He calmly walks up to the front (of the bus) with the head in his hand and the knife and just calmly stares at us and drops the head right in front of us,” Caton said. That’s horrifying. Um. ...

Had a job interview today that I believe went very well.  It also sounds like a great opportunity with great benefits.  I’m also excited about the job applications I sent in for the three Apple store locations here in Manhattan.  Bring on the great work environment and Apple discount!! As for now, I’m awaiting the return of my beautiful wonderful girlfriend.  I think I’ll go ind...

I’m convinced that smoking [cigarettes] in NYC is  more of a symbol of status than a manner of addiction.  I was behind a guy at a bodega and he bought a pack of Camel cigarettes; $9.  One pack. Smoking in NYC shows everyone that you literally have money to burn.

Is it really worth it?
I had my first New York CraigsList experience the other day. I’ll start by saying this, if you’re in NYC, CraigsList is the way to go! Screw eBay! However, that’s not the meat and potatoes of what I’ve got to discuss. I was offered sex for my iPhone. Yes, seriously. Had an email conversation going with this person and then I get a response offering “some time...

A thought on Darwinism.
I find it sad and completely, typically, underdeveloped of the US populace that many people want for Darwinism to be the truth. The truth, as in the debunker of any form of religious merit. Here’s the thing, has anyone really thought to take a look at what that would look like? I’m not in complete denial of existences of evolution. Even as a Christian, I can admit that observation...

The Streets of New York
I was in a rotten mood, very much for the best part of the day. But what I find amazing is how that all changes when I step out onto the streets of New York.  I see buildings everywhere.  I see art.  I see people; all kinds of people.  The sounds.  The smells, well, some of them.  I get this surge of life.  Vibrance.  Something so new to this Southern boy. Here, you see it all.  You see dreams...

My iPhone
So, there was a LOT I did not like about my iPhone. But there was enough that I did like about it that I miss it.  Please, please, iPhone, come to Verizon.  Please!!!!

I am a boring guy today
Seriously. I slept until noon.  I did some reading and quiet time.  Then I went to Strand Bookstore for an hour or so.  That was pretty much awesome!  From there, it had commenced to raining.  And rain it did.  I perused some more books (seriously, they have so many) but the rain continued.  So I walked back, only 10 blocks, in the rain.  That turned out to be pretty awesome. From there I did...

So I’m now in New York City.  And it is awesome. It’s been rather overcast and rainy since I got here, but the city still looks incredible.  In fact, I think I like the greyness of it all. I’m looking for work, online and on the streets (not in the sexually deviant way).  I’m seriously trying to find ANYTHING.  I just want to sustain myself, now, until I can find...

dalasverdugo: I’m reading Robert Reich’s most recent blog post and its accompanying comments section (the comments on his posts are sometimes insightful! imagine that!) and one thing stuck out for me. We often hear about how taxing the people at the top will take away incentive to perform better, but does that really make sense? If I tax you to where you are making a mere $500,000 per year,...
