Carousel: A Cinema 21:9 Production →
While the intent of this campaign is not to showcase the motion graphics or creativity of the filmmakers, it’s to sell a new TV experience, I’m far more interested in the film.
This is a masterpiece of motion graphics. Be sure to check out the film and catch the interactive “hot spots” for some insight on the production from the director, director of photography and...

Bong Joon-Ho’s Mother (2009) • Trailer
I have no idea what’s being said. Reminds me of “Lady Vengeance”. Definitely looks interesting.
Lookie what I found!
This evening, I left my apartment with a three-part agenda:
—Purchase below-the-ankle socks —Purchase a legit Frisbee Disc —Look for, and possibly buy books on filmmaking
Immediately upon exiting my apartment, there on the stoop, are two books on filmmaking. “The Filmmaker’s Handbook” and “Film Production”. Granted the copies are of a slightly...
MakingOf - Insiders - Don Roos - Kitchen Timer →
Don Roos shares an interesting, and almost obvious, screenwriting discipline. I found this entry most inspiring as I’ve been in quite a writer’s funk lately.
Can someone help me with a Tumblr question?
I have another Tumblog that, at least for now, I’d like to use as a private journal of sorts. I don’t even know what an API really is, but apparently a properly tuned API “script” might be what I’m looking for.
I want to be able to post to this Tumblog of mine, outside of the Tumblr site and make each post private. The goal, to have a private Tumblog Journal of...

Tweetie for Mac. It’s here.
$14.95!?!?! And you folks are paying this much? Ugh. With all the Tweets about this program, I expected it to be free.
No thanks. I’ll pass. I still remember the http address for Twitter and I can Tweet from QuickSilver…for free.
In feature films the director is God; in documentary films God is the director.

Lars von Trier’s Antichrist (2009) • Trailer
I’ve never been a huge Von Trier fa. I tend to find his stuff overly and unnecessarily pretentious (there are exceptions, like Dancer in the Dark, which I love). But this movie looks like it may change my mind about him.
Well, I am, for the most part, a fan of Von Trier. And yes, this looks every bit of incredible!

Last year we told you that Crank directors Neveldine/Taylor had decided to film Crank 2: High Voltage entirely using consumer grade video cameras, allowing them to put the cameras in places filmmakers normally aren’t able to. They also had plans to shoot some sequences using a “moving bullet time camera rig” composed of 8 small video cameras attached to a curved light weight...
