JCVD is legit!
What a fun movie. It’s a drama, but at the same time, has this playful undertone to it. It’s in no way laugh-out-loud, or even funny-ha-ha. It’s more in the subtext. But, it’s also got heart. At the core of this film, I feel that is the primary focus—heart.
I give MAJOR props to JCVD, himself, for going along with this and totally doing an incredible job. The filmmakers knocked it out of the park. The style was awesome. Colors were subdued and almost ethereal, giving the film a look that suits the longer takes and handheld camera work.
If you haven’t seen JCVD, you’re just missing out. I’m kicking myself for not catching this in the cinema.
