Where is Pancakes House?

The brainless and banal postings of an as-yet-to-be writer; particularly of short fiction and screen.
The Limits of ControlJim Jarmusch
The limits of my control to stay in my seat were definitely tested.  This is not to say I hated the film, but it was probably one of the slowest films leading up to the least exciting conclusion I have ever seen.  As the end credits begain to roll, I had to ask myself, “Did I just watch a movie or a couple hours of test footage of a guy walking around Spanish villas?”
The best part was the inclusion of music from Sunn 0))) and Earth.
Here’s some comments from Capone over at Ain’t It Cool News that resonate with me about the film.
“Although there’s no mistaking some of the hallmark Jarmusch touches, the film for even the most devoted enthusiast might be a bit of an endurance test.”
“I’m pretty sure I’m not recommending THE LIMITS OF CONTROL to anyone outside paid-up executive members of his official fan club.
The movie is just a bit too meandering and unfocused, even for Jarmusch.”
“Jarmusch officially stumped me with this one.”

To those that insist of seeing it in theaters, have fun, and bring a butt pillow. It will go numb.
I won’t pay to see another Jarmusch film in theaters unless one of two conditions is met:  a) said film stars Johnny Depp or b) said film has a 75%+ positive rating on Rotten Tomatos.
