Street Fight Caught On Tape

Footage of a street fight on the corner of Delancey and Allen streets has surfaced on YouTube. After a brief war of words between a cyclist and an older gentleman, things turned physical, with the unidentified cyclist striking the other man several times with his bike lock. At the end of the video the cyclist rides away into traffic, but not before leaving the other man bashed and bleeding. - huff post

Cyclists in New York (specifically Manhattan) are subtly an aggressive and angry group. On many occasions I’ve heard them cursing at pedestrians and even antagonizing them: I saw a guy on a bike riding right at a woman standing a foot or two off the curb only to turn away sharply at the end. It was intended to scare the crap out of her and it did.

People are so mean.  I don’t get it.  All the cyclist had to do was keep riding.  So what if somebody said something.  In the long run, who cares!?

Leave it be, people.  Just leave it be!
