There’s a whole lot less graffiti now, but otherwise it seems remarkably similar to today.
I use a few of those trains daily—probably the very same ones. NYC’s subways are shit holes. Nothing’s changed except the cost of the ride.
I was almost run over by a Mr. Softee truck. I do believe that death by Mr. Softee truck would in fact make me a de facto New Yorker. Thank God I survived.
